To Love Those Left Behind

We would like to thank Mary Howard & Chuck Della Lana from Ohio Wesleyan for putting together such a wonderful video about our agency.  “To Love Those Left Behind” really shows you how The Open Shelter impacts the most vulnerable in our community; those who have been left behind, those who have nowhere else to turn.  We have been serving the homeless and marginally housed for over 34 years and even though we are struggling with a transition and finances, there is still HOPE.

Please watch this video and please make a donation to keep The Open Shelter OPEN.  Thank You.

Korean Church of Columbus Takes The Plunge!

We would like to give a very warm and heartfelt THANK YOU to youth groups from The Korean Church of Columbus who gave a week of their time, talents & compassion to help those we serve at The Open Shelter and at other facilities, like our neighbor St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church.  For many years, Rev. Keun Sang Lee & chaperones from the church have accompanied the youth for this Urban Plunge.  We are so grateful for their help and for the wonderful donation Rev. Lee & the church made to us at the end of the week.  Their support makes sure we can keep our doors open to help the most vulnerable in our community.
