Church of The Messiah members have helped us in many ways, from providing gifts for our Christmas program through their Giving Tree.
Church of The Messiah parishioners donated hundreds of gifts and toys that were given to the 50 families and 200 children we hosted for the Holidays.
The Church of The Messiah “Bible Babes” were a part of our 2024 Mother’s Day Celebration making the day brighter for the women in attendance!
Church of The Messiah groups have provided meals, sack lunches, and even helped us move to our location on Parsons Avenue!
Groups from Church of The Messiah volunteer with The Open Shelter on a regular basis, making sure donations are sorted, guests are fed, and things run smoothly.
Pastor Pete Elliott currently serves as The Open Shelter’s Board President. He is truly a blessing to our mission with his continuing leadership and help in so many ways, from providing guidance to those on staff and those we serve at The Open Shelter, to helping with internal support, such as computer and website issues.
